I understand that most movie producers/directors want their movies to look as real as possible but whatâs with all the kissing? Some of us have laughed at Mount Zion movies for being too rigid and all that but you cannot deny that youâd watch those movies and be edified. Some of them even lead you to prayer. And they donât kiss at all, not even the actors/actresses that are married in reality.
Hold on a minute. You might argue that itâs just Mount Zion movies but have you seen Laju Irenâs movies? I watched During Ever After and I was so pleased with how marital love was exhibited without any iota of immorality. I just had to complete all the episodes. How about Deep Thots movies or Anora Media skits?
In the name of trying to be as real as possible, weâve brought in so much nudity and immorality into our movies. You canât even allow your children or younger ones watch movies alone because you are so scared of what they might see. Who did this to us?
I understand the temptation is real and itâs oh…so strong but if unbelievers are doing that or acting such movies, donât Christians need to show themselves as different? Why are actors/actresses who say they are Christians taking up such kissing/immoral roles? Why are some supposed âChristianâ movies having heated scenes?
And you too, Christian writer, we know you are writing Christian romance but, whatâs the difference between you and the erotic writers. Take the mic and explain why steamy scenes are all over your novel?
Some might claim they have liberty to do as they please but remember what the Bible said, âTake heed that your liberty does not become a stumbling block to the weakâ. Really, must you kiss? The answer is no. Letâs stop furthering the moral decadence of society. Letâs stop inflaming lust in our young ones. Letâs do the right thing. Shalom!
I hope those at the back can hear.
Christians need to define who we are and put a clear distinction between us and unbelievers; what we can do and not do. May the Lord help us.
Thanks for sharing, Sis.
Preach it, sis.
My thoughts exactly!
Thank you for the short yet inspiring nugget Ma’am .
Recently, I noticed that so-called Christians are so scared and afraid to speak about these little foxes that have been destroying us gradually . Many have accepted to hide under the corner and keep mute about these things instead of speaking up. And this makes the devil, our opponent, to become more wide opened to giving the talented ones these immoral inspirations, because he knows that majority of them that call themselves Christians won’t be able to speak up and oppose him. This is how it spreads.
But we know these things ourselves and we know that if we arm ourselves and guide our hearts, hold on to the convictions which we have been taught of and have received, we would not be suppressed. It gives us the strength and backbone to stand firm and speak up, starting from the closest scenes we see around us. Most times I imagine how defeated the devil’s territory would be, if all the Christians would rise up and take their stand in Faith and Perseverance. God help us all. Amen đ
Amen.
May God help us to keep standing for the right.
